Description
The specimen shows a loop of small intestine, and a short length of large intestine, which has been
opened. In the loop, one can see through the serosa, numerous spots, up to 0.4 cm. in diameter.
The mucosal appearance of one of these lesions is seen in the opened segment of bowel. Each of
these lesions is a vascular malformation, or haemangioma.
